Industrial motor recycling practices in the EU

Speeding up the replacement of industrial motors could help save substantial amounts of energy in the European Union. The additional material use this would require could be mitigated because industrial motors have a high degree of recyclability. But, to what extent is recycling actually happening in practice? Following its survey of motor recycling practices in the EU, the EU-MORE project has formulated recommendations for policymakers to improve end-of-life recycling rates.
